An excellent opportunity has arisen within North Curry Health Centre to support the Primary Health Care Team.

We are a friendly Dispensing Practice with a list size of just over 4,000 patients.

Duties for the position include typing of all correspondence including letters, referrals and medical reports for insurers and solicitors. Arranging meetings and taking minutes, filing and retrieving medical records, processing incoming mail, liaising with patients and healthcare providers regarding patient referrals.

It would be preferable that applicants have previous medical secretarial experience including medical audio typing skills and an understanding of medical terminology.

It is desirable that the applicants have worked in a GP surgery and be familiar with the electronic referral booking system and GP clinical systems (ideally EMIS Web).

We are seeking a motivated well organised individual to join our team. For this role it is essential that you are reliable, flexible, have effective communication skills, excellent IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You should have a good level of general education with 3 GCSEs  Grade A-C including English and Maths.
