An excellent opportunity has arisen within North Curry Health Centre to support the Primary Health Care Team.

We are a friendly Dispensing Practice with a list size of just over 4,000 patients.

Duties for the position include typing of all correspondence including letters, referrals and medical reports for insurers and solicitors. Arranging meetings and taking minutes, filing and retrieving medical records, processing incoming mail, liaising with patients and healthcare providers regarding patient referrals.

It would be preferable that applicants have previous medical secretarial experience including medical audio typing skills and an understanding of medical terminology.

It is desirable that the applicants have worked in a GP surgery and be familiar with the electronic referral booking system and GP clinical systems (ideally EMIS Web).

We are seeking a motivated well organised individual to join our team. For this role it is essential that you are reliable, flexible, have effective communication skills, excellent IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You should have a good level of general education with 3 GCSEs  Grade A-C including English and Maths.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at North Curry Health Centre, supporting the delivery of high-quality primary healthcare services.

We are seeking a qualified Dispenser to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be motivated, well organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

To be successful in this role, you will be reliable, flexible, possess excellent communication and IT skills, and demonstrate a positive and professional approach to patient care. Previous experience working within a GP practice would be advantageous but is not essential.

Applicants must hold a recognised dispensing qualification with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of dispensing knowledge and experience.

We welcome enquiries from candidates interested in either part-time or full-time hours. Informal visits to the surgery are encouraged and can be arranged on request.

Medical Administrator / Receptionist

North Curry Health Centre are seeking an organised well motivated individual to support their friendly Primary Health Care Team.

This position is part time. Practice hours are hours are Monday to Friday 7.45am to 7.00pm and shifts will be between these hours.

We are a Dispensing Practice with a list size of just over 4,000 patients. With 3 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA, 5 Dispensers, an admin/reception team of 8 staff and a Practice Manager.

For this role it is essential that you are reliable, flexible, pro-active and have effective communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for IT and keenness to expand your knowledge and skills together with a problem solving and analytical mind to ensure our excellent levels of patient care are maintained.

You should have a good level of general education with 3 GCSEs Grade A-C including English and Maths.

Previous experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
