Dr Chapman

Dr Chapman is no longer working at North Curry Health Centre and ceased to be a partner in April of 2022.  He remains suspended from working as a medical practitioner.  On 20 December 2021 a charge was brought against him by the Crown Prosecution Service.

For legal reasons, we are unable to comment directly on the case, so we ask you please not to contact the practice directly or ask our staff about this issue.   Instead, Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group is providing a telephone line that you can contact if you would like to discuss any concerns.  Please note that this line is only for any issues that you may wish to raise specifically relating to this matter.  Your medical needs will continue to be met by the practice.

The telephone number for this Support Line is: 0300 3036409

The incidents which resulted in the charge do not involve a patient.  However, we understand that this remains concerning to many of our patients, as it is for everyone at the practice.  Our priority continues to be to provide care for our patients. We have contacted Dr Chapman’s patients to update them on ongoing arrangements for their care at North Curry Health Centre. We remain grateful for your ongoing support and understanding at this difficult time.
