Urgent advice: Dr James Hickman Retirement

Dr James Hickman is retiring from General Practice at the end of March 2024.  James has worked at North Curry Health Centre for 30 years and originally worked alongside his Dad.  We will all miss James and wish him well with his new adventures.

Please pop in for Coffee,Tea and Cake on Saturday 16th March 2.00-4.30pm at North Curry Village Hall.

There is a retirement book at the surgery in the end waiting room for anyone who wishes to leave a special memory or message for Dr James Hickman.  There is also a collection on behalf of the patients held on reception.

Non-urgent advice: Welcome to our new GP Partner, Dr Tom Russell.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Russell will be joining us at North Curry Health Centre from mid-April onwards.
He is a graduate of St George’s Hospital Medical School in London and a Somerset-trained GP. Alongside his continuing academic tutor and honorary lecturer roles for medical students from the University of Plymouth and University of Bristol respectively, he has also been a serving GP with the Army Reserve.
Dr Russell is delighted to be joining the team and with his experience and dedication to patient care we feel he will be a real asset to our patients and the health centre.
He said, “I believe passionately in all that is best about traditional general practice and particularly the importance of providing high-quality continuity of care for our patients - this is clearly also an ethos shared and valued by North Curry Health Centre and I am very much looking forward to starting here next month.”
Dr Russell lives locally in Taunton with his wife and two young children.

Patient Reference Group

WE NEED THE VIEWS AND OPINIONS OF OUR REGISTERED PATIENTS

Would you like to have a say about the services provided by North Curry Health Centre and the local NHS Service?

We are seeking to increase the members of the Patient Reference Group within the registered patient list which we can contact on an ongoing basis. This would enable the Health Centre to survey the views and opinions of its patients and have a collated collective opinion available when representing its Patient List.

By providing your e-mail details we can add them to a contact list that will mean we can contact you via email every now and again to seek your views and opinions.
