Adult Flu clinics dates now available.  
You are eligible to receive a free flu jab if you: 
  • are 65 years of age or over   
  • are pregnant 
  • have certain medical conditions 
  • are living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility 
  • receive a carer's allowance, or you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill 

You are eligible for the flu vaccine this year (2017-18) if you are aged 65 and over on March 31 2018 – that is, you were born on or before March 31 1953. So, if you are currently 64 but will be 65 on March 31 2018, you do qualify

Appointment System

When you call for a doctor’s appointment, you will be asked whether your need is:

URGENT, ACUTE OR ROUTINE

In order to help categorise your appointment, and ensure you see the most appropriate person, the receptionist may ask you if you can share the nature of the problem or issue. Please be assured that this information will be treated confidentially.

Named GP   

If you would like to know who your named Doctor is please ask reception when you next visit the surgery.

Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family test has recently been added to our website. it is your chance to provide feedback on your experience of the surgery.

Staff Training  

The surgery will be closed for staff training on Thursday 2nd November from 1.00 pm until 4.30 pm.

Repeat Prescriptions

You can now order your repeat prescriptions through the online Prescriptions link. If you wish to register to do so please complete the patient online registration form and bring it along to reception with two forms of ID, one photographic and one proof of address so we can give you the registration information. If you are already registered to use online appointments you do not need to register again.
Gentle Exercises Classes

In association with Age UK, the Health Centre hosts Gentle Exercise Classes on Wed lunchtime 1.30-2.30 pm.  No need to book. Just turn up in comfortable clothing by 1.25 pm.

Travel Vaccinations

YOU MUST COMPLETE A TRAVEL QUESTIONNAIRE AT LEAST 6 WEEKS BEFORE YOU TRAVEL.

DO NOT MAKE ANY APOINTMENTS FOR VACCINATIONS OR ADVICE BEFORE YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY OUR TRAVEL TEAM.

Please contact the surgery four working days after handing in your questionnaire to arrange your travel consultation. Further appointments will be required to receive the vaccinations. Some of which may have to be ordered as they are not kept in stock.

The Travel Vaccination Clinic is a service not provided by the NHS and many travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these will incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. Fee’s may also be incurred if you access the service and decide to have a vaccination elsewhere.

Vaccinations will not be administrated until payment is received in full.

 NB - Patients should be aware that they may be asked to attend an alternative travel vaccination clinic elsewhere if their travel plans are sooner than the requested six weeks.
